Tax Exemption

• Please note that Columbia University is a Tax-exempt organization. All invoices reflecting tax will be adjusted by the amount of the tax. (Please keep this in mind when requesting quotes from vendors.)
• State and Federal tax forms are available in our office for your use.

Payment Approval

• Different Principal Investigators manage this process in very different ways. As a default, ISE only allows a PI to approve charges on his/her accounts.
• If a PI wants to designate an authorized signer she/he should send an e-mail to the Purchasing Coordinator and Departmental Administrator with the name(s) of the signer(s) and any applicable dollar value or other limits.
