Safety Modules
The Nanocenter offers safety modules twice a semester covering various aspects of nanoscience safety. Topics include safe handling of compressed gases, laser safety, and others. These seminars allow us to address timely issues of nanoscience safety, as well as keeping safety in the forefront of everyone's minds. All Nanocenter members receive a Safety Manual in the form of a looseleaf binder. As new safety materials become available, they are distributed to everyone for inclusion in the manual. Each of the monthly safety modules incorporates handouts for the safety manual.
Safety Modules are generally held on Fridays at 1:00 p.m. with pizza beforehand at 12:30 p.m.
